  • Wrong, that company hires people of all sorts of different walks of life..From Christians to atheists..Nor was buddy moving to have the company recognize his beliefs, he was simply showing support for his nation as a citizen...His button didn't even refer to Jesus..

  • Actually no I wouldn't...I see teenagers and older wearing all kinds of "irreverent" clothing, pins, displays upon their persons..It's a part of living in diverse culture..The thick skin has to go both ways...Otherwise, maybe Home depot should consider only hiring those who are "non religious' …

  • That isn't reality. Their staff is NOT all "religion neutral". Nor should they be made to hide who they are as individuals, they are as different as the clientele that they serve.

  • What policy? The wearing of the pin wasn't the problem, especially seeing THEY OFFERED him one they felt was more acceptable to them...They were taking exception to what the pin said, rather than the pin itself..

  • BS, Home depot offered another pin they felt was more "acceptable"..It isn't about the pin and dress code..They were afraid of someone being "offended"...They were wrong on this one...

  • Yes, I do give my employees a say in our policies. They are up in front facing our customers, they are the ones who ultimately sell the product. I value their contributions and also give consideration to who they are as individuals who represent us as a company.

Nor do I care what you wish to support..If you want to wear a pin that supports your nation without a reference to God, hats off to you..But for you to state that I or others cannot, then really..Who is stepping on who …
